Book review - Someone Like You by Durjoy Datta

Someone like you - by Durjoy Datta & Nikita Singh

With due respect to the authors, I don't like reading novels where the huge plot (if at all it it exists) involves the boyfriend and girlfriend fight with each other and get together at last. I am not a fan of such novels.
I saw this book with a friend and it was a small one and it was a boring afternoon and I thought why not read this.
I wanted a light read after reading huge ones.
This is my first time reading a book rom these authors.
The story starts with a geeky girl describing her lack of love life or rather lamenting about it. She compares herself with her sister who is a beauty queen.
The transformation occurs and she is soon wooed by a guy who is all that she wanted. Breaks up.
She goes to college.
Meets another guy.
The story is all about how these two guys make and break her life and how she finally decides who her love of the life is.
Her two friends also play a major role in her life and a tragedy makes her look in the right direction.
The book was a quick read. Like a short black and white version of your TV dramas.
The plot was interesting and that's it.
Why should all the characters be interested in getting a boyfriend or girlfriend? This will make one think that today's youth has nothing else to do.
Only if the story was developed into something more genuine and relevant.
